WOW! My poor MILTB-got a call last night from a person who is invited to our wedding, inquiring as to why their brother is not invited to the wedding as well?!?! Can you believe the nerve of some people!! So she told them it must have gotten lost in the mail because she felt so bad having to say "No, he's not invited"...so today my FH and I had to go and mail "another" invitation for the brother now!! WOW-the world of inviting people to weddings go-eth crazy!

Maybe I should have posted this in the Conflicts Section...but I thought why not planning since there really isn't a conflict right now...since we had to cover up quickly!

we haven't had issues like that yet..which is why we just invited 1st cousins and aunts and uncles.  We had some issues with the family about who to invite but that is all solved now...hopefully nobody calls us like that.

Married for 3 months already!!

oh wow!! that is all I can say... at the risk of sounds rude (as I do not know these people) but honestly, how arrogant can someone be?? And what really gets me, is that they called your mom, not you or FH! geez... I guess thats just part of the whole process!! Good luck with the rest of the invites!

Hey.

I had the same thing happen. I sent an invitation to my parents friend only (Not their children) and they replied that the whole family was coming and their children's girlfriend/husbands.  It was an extra 5 people.  So after speaking with the parents I had to call them and tell them it was just for them and not their children.  I even said that I would love to have them but we can't invite everyone. In the end they didn't even end up coming.  They were upset that there children didn't get invited do NO ONE from their family came. I felt so bad for my dad has it was his childhood friend, but hey some people just have no manners.

However other then that, it was smooth sailing... And that, well it was just a little bump along the way... That's all

Good luck!

yikes!!  I think your FMIL should have been honest with the person as  to why her brother wasnt invited.

She could have said "Space is so limited that we invited you because of our relationship. We hardly ever talk to your brother" or something like that ....

The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness.

Making the decision to have a child-it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

The mother's heart is the child's schoolroom.

To understand a mother's love, bear your own children.

Mother is the name for God on the lips& in the hearts of little children.

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.

Mrs. M and loving it!!!

That's annoying!  There are obviously reasons why this person's brother is not invited.  If you are not close this him, why should he be there.  If this person is concerned, then maybe she should bring him as a guest!
