Ladies,
I just need to vent, my FH and I were talking last night and I mentioned that I found a cake that I like and he put his foot down and said no!
Now originally, we decided to do something different and make wedding theme jello shooters, that we are going to put on the 3ft. cupcake stand to act as our signature drink. Also, one of the BM is good with cakes and offered to make one, plus for an extra $1.50 per person, the hall catering is will to supply either cheese cake or black forest for dessert. Therefore, we don't need to buy one, but I love this one and it would fit in to wedding budget.
Up until now, he has let me had my way with everything from officiant to wedding favors, so I can't fault him too much. But, what is wrong with me wanting to have a wedding cake?
Especially this one:

Thank you for reading, I feel better now.
Plus, I've yet to meet my-inlaws and they live in Toronto and the wedding is 5 months away and his father lives 5 mins. walking distance for our home! He doesn't feel that this is important as he is pretty much estranged from them himself!
Another thing, he lost his wallet and is taking his sweet time about replacing his id. I may be the only bride in the history of Toronto, that couldn't get married due to the fact that her hubby doesn't qualify for a marriage license, even though he was born right here!
Wear a white wedding dress? Why, are we bar hopping?

| Whats the big deal about a cake? Really the price of a cake is not worth fighting over I would just do it I mean its not like you are throwing away a few thosand dollars or anything. If price is an issue you could still get your cake the way you wanted just minus a tier and it will be cheaper.

That cake would look great with your colour theme. I guess though if you have to pick your battles....honestly, in the end, hardly anyone eats the wedding cake. We had a small cake and had over half left over.

| GET THE CAKE!! I love it and from what you have posted, it would fit your theme so nicely! Tell FH to get off his butt and get his ID replaced...FH and I had this same fight over his immunizations and his passport...they can drive you crazy eh?? Sorry, just a little vent of my own LOL. Place the "bride card" and do whatever you want, once in a lifetime...maybe say that you can have cheesecake and black forest any old day but only one time can you have your wedding cake...gotta love that reasoning!
