Okay, time for my update!

Tonight's run... not good. Not good at all.  We were doing 6:1s, and I had to stop after the first set.

I'm asthmatic, and today I forgot to take my purple inhaler... after 2 minutes of running I was already struggling and wheezing.  If I hadn't stopped when I did, I'm sure i would have put myself in hospital.

I'm totally okay, and I'm not gonna get down on myself... because last weekend I had 2 awesome runs, and I did a few 6 minute sets.

Hi Alana

How are your runs coming now? I think you are doing great. This is not meant to sound discouraging but there will be days where we simply have a crappy run. As I said earlier I have been running for almost 3 yrs. There are some days when I go out and have a very difficult time. I usually run my short runners of 6-8K (you will get there too ) straight but occassionally I still find myself stopping for a walk or stretch break. I am not asthmatic but I run with many asthmatic runners. We all find that sometimes what we eat has a big factor. Did I get enough sleep the night before? Am I hydrated?? That last one is very important especially in the summer.  Keep smiling and Running!

Stacey
