My FBIL is such a sweetie and I really like him and he and FH are twins but different as night and day but the best of buddies! Anyways, FBIL comes to visit quite a bit which I love because I love having company but he is CONSTANTLY using racial slurs. I have told him I don't like it and that FH and I don't like language like that in our house. It's rude, digusting and ignorant. He still continues to do this and just adds an "oops it slipped" at the end of his nasty comments. Like hello we're in 2006 people let's stop this crap already. I don't know what to do. I've tried talking to him about it, tried ignoring it. What else can I do? He just left my house so I'm a little enraged at the moment. Fh totally agrees with me and told him to stop as well but he just doesn't get it. I don't want him to stop coming over but what he is doing is more then just being disrespectful! I'm sorry I'm rambling on but I'm so annoyed right now!

| Wow if you've tried everything maybe try rubbing chillies in his mouth! LOL I know its childish but maybe you should suggest you will do it if he talks like that again. If he can't get that you and fh don't like that language he's not being very respectful in YOUR house! I would be afraid if I had kids and he talked like that. ~Nicole

| maybe its time to be blunt and to the point "i love you as a brother, but i'm really sick of the trash talk filth costantly coming out of your mouth." does he think he's impressing anyone? tell him to grow up already. the behavior is both ignorant and immature. he needs to learn to get out of the habit now before you have to ban him from your home and dks - just wait until you have dks and he's spewing this garbage around them. only a matter of time before they start picking up on his attitudes, especially if he's a favorite uncle.

| Wow... I say keep tellhing him and your hubby how you feel. I don't know what else to tell you... other than it'll get worse before it gets better. Right now it's just an annoyance... but one day you'll have kids who will repeat whatever uncle says....
