hope this helps...i tried a few websites and they all seem to say the same thing...good luck

Most styes heal within a few days on their own. You can encourage this process by applying hot compresses for 10 to 15 minutes, three or four times a day over the course of several days. This will relieve the pain and bring the stye to a head, much like a pimple. The stye ruptures and drains, then heals.

Never "pop" a stye like a pimple; allow it to rupture on its own. If you have frequent styes, your eye doctor may prescribe an antibiotic ointment to prevent a recurrence.

Styes formed inside the eyelid either disappear completely or (rarely) rupture on their own, and they can be more serious. These styes may need to be opened and drained by your eyecare practitioner.

I had one a few years ago... I used a tea bag to get rid of it. I got some plain old Red Rose, let the tea bag sit for few seconds in water that I'd boiled and allowed to cool a bit, then ring it out so that it's not soaking, but still quite wet, and put it on the eye for about 15 minutes, several times a day. It works better than just a normal hot compress, and it's about the right size (and cheap too!!).
Good luck.

I had one when I was pregnant. Use a damp teabag or gold. It actually helps the swelling go down. I couldnt get rid of mine forever ten I finally tried them and it worked!!

Its True! Rubbing your e-ring on the stye will work. I get them like once month, and when I feel it coming on I rub my band on it and it does away before surfacing. I get them from makeup, especially if I dont use remover before going to bed.

Run your band on it a few times a day, and dont be afraid to apply pressure. I ususally do it 20-30 secs twice or three times a day when I get one.

Put a warm compress on your eye a few times a day (be sure to use a different face cloth each time). Leave it on for about 10minutes.

Also you can boil water & let it cool somewhat and let a tea bag steep in the water. Ring the tea bag out and put it on your eye - that will help it go away.

There are over the counter eye drops you can get that would help if it doesn't go away in a day or two - talk to the pharmasist (sp?) for which one to get.

I get them quite often and the above ususally works for me!
