I am looking for a memorial poem to have on a table at my reception, does anyone out there have a nice one.

MrsE I know you had one in one of the photos...care to share it? Jules.

I found this one on this site

In Memory

For those we have loved

and lost along the way

A flane to remember them

burns here today

For the laughter and smiles and

memories remain

Together today their

presence remains

Never forgotten and

loved forever more

Today their blessings

flicker and soar

Here are the ones I online (think I just typed memorial verses into a search engine and then got comfy for all the reading) and am still deciding which to use. There are so many specailized for deceased moms, dads, everything but I wanted something generic to cover all deceased relatives. Hope this helps.

We wish our loved ones were here with us
on this very special day
cause' they were like a rush of sun
before they went away

We light this candle so that we
might bring them here a while
as we remember their bright flame
their laughter and their smiles

we wish that they could share with us
the happiness we feel,
cause' knowing that they know our joy
would make it all more real.

But even though they're not with us
their presence is still strong
cause' in our hearts we'll always find
their love for which we long

Softly the leaves of memory
Authorhil & Lagi

Softly the leaves of memory fall.
Gently we gather, treasure them all,
Some may forget now that you are gone,
We will remember no matter how long.

I Did Not Die
Author:ss1

Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and forever cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

No length of time can ease the pain
Authorhil & Lagi

No length of time can ease the pain, our longing for you will be the same. You are in our thoughts, night and day, in our hearts forever you will stay

Beautiful Memories woven in gold
Authorhil & Lagi

Beautiful Memories woven in gold, this is the picture we tenderly hold, deep in our hearts your memory is kept, to love and to cherrish and never forget

Those we love don't go away
Authorhil & Lagi

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed, and very dear.
