Hi all,

I'm looking to rent some kind of shuttle (doesn't have to be fancy) for guests between the hotel and the ceremony/reception site and back to the hotel at the end of the night. We're hoping to give the guests an alternative to driving since so many people will be drinking.

Any recommendations for affordable and reliable shuttle options? The hotel and wedding are both in Woodbridge. The wedding is at Kortright Conservation Centre so it might even be kind of fitting (and funny) to have a school bus.

Thanks so much for any advice!

Anita

I think some do. Unfortunately, ours doesn't.

Is switching hotels not an option for you?

Also, a really good question, thanks. Unfortunately, the day of our wedding is also the day of a big soccer tournament in the area so a lot of the hotels are really booked up. I've started calling some companies with buses/shuttles though and although it will be expensive, I think the cost will be worth it. Thanks.

We are doing the same thing, and none of the hotels we called (near the airport) were able to arrange this, however they gave us the company they used for their airport shuttles.  I just started emailing and calling around.  I got the best rate from getaway tours (http://www.getawaytours.ca/default.htm) but its still pricey........our wedding is at the Royal Ambassador, (35 min drive from our hotel) and we are looking at a 56 seater.  We didn't look into school buses, FH looked horrified when I suggested it

Good luck and let us know what you find out!

Thanks for the tip MrsAlmost (love the handle!!). I'll give them a call. So far, I've found www.firstcharterbus.com/contact-us Haven't book yet though.

It's pricey but less than other places. It's around $300 for 5 hours and $44.75 for additional hours. I can't remember the type of vehicle, have it written down at work. Was yours a better deal? Too funny about your FH being horrified about the school bus...not sure anything would horrify my FH in terms of being casual. ha ha.

How are you doing it? Are you booking for the whole night or doing 2 bookings...one before the wedding, and one after?
