| I have a pretty big list of things we want for the house and I'm wondering where the best place is to get it all... we have already spent a lot on the stuff we care most about (couches, electronics, etc.) so we don't want to spend too much on the other stuff but we don't really want anything from Ikea. This is what we need: - Patio table and chairs (though we may have found one) - Floor lamp - Table lamps - Pictures - Throw pillows - Decorative things (vases, etc.) - A chais lounger or something similar for the room at the front of our house I think that's it.... Thanks in advance!

To be honest, there isn't really a one-stop shop. I mean there are stores with it all, but you'll find you'll love some things and hate the rest. I would try Winners HomeSense, I know it's hit and miss, but its great if you are okay with decorating slowly. What you can always do as well is focus on one room at a time, that way you aren't blowing your budget all at once.

I was going to say Winners as well. Home Sense, all of those places. The only problem with them is that next week if you decide you want another matching lamp, they may not have it!

| Rob and I bought a realyl cute patio set on the weekend, it's just a small one, a 4 person... but it came with the table, 4 chairs, and umbrella - for $149!!!! It was on sale at Zellers of all places - and they have the extra chairs sold separately, in case you want to add. We'll buy another 2 chairs, so we can seat 6, but the tables really only a 4 person...

I would say homesense for almost everything! I would persoally shop around for the patio set though. You can get some really good deals

We bought our patio set from Loblaws last year. It's black metal with taupe cushions and we love it. Homesense is always good, Winners, Loblaws, Bouclair, Canadian Tire, Urban Barn, The Bay, Wal-Mart, Zellers, Rona, Pier One, Bowring, Bombay Company-now that they're back in business. Some things I never thought I would find at these stores but you just never know. Costco has good lamp sets if you have a membership there. I like hitting small tourist towns for unique items (like St.Jacobs-but if I remember correctly you're not from Ontario), cause sometimes the non-commericalized stores have great pieces and ideas.
