We are having a casual wedding ceremony on the beach, and the reception outside at my dad's cottage in the back yard (basically in the woods).  We want to ask everyone (all 45 guests) to bring a tent, and camp out with us, and to join us for brunch the next morning before the drive back home.  Also, we are planning on having a bonfire the night of the wedding, with s'mores and hotdogs as a late night snack.

How in earth do I word this on my invites, so that it sounds fun, and not too formal, but not too informal, either?!?  I need people to bring a tent, or let me know if they'll need a hotel room...and I guess some people would probably like to know to bring spare clothes, for both the late night bonfire, and the next day.

First off sounds like a lot of fun!

Kinda sounds like a Wedding Weekend Trip.

Maybe after you mentioned the date and time and location put something causal like,

Come for the wedding and stay for the festivities and enjoy our late night bonfire with snacks and camping under the stars followed with a camp brunch the next morning.

And maybe if you not sure if people are going to stay and you want to know maybe on the RSVP put a place for them to indicate, but also since it is a small wedding you might just want to follow up individuallyand ask if they are staying the night or do they need other accomodations?

hope that helped

Actually, that helped more than you know!  We were both so stuck on this (well, I was...FH didn't see the need to have any guest info).

THANK YOU!!!!
