I am thinking of planning a wedding with the reception being outside where we can hold  BBQ dinner!!

Does anyone have ANY location ideas where this ceremony & reception can be done?  Anywhere within an hour drive of Toronto is fine!

There is a company called Orange Tree Fine Catering. They do wedding BBQ and all other catering of course! I am using them for my Rehersal Dinner and was planning on using them for my Jack and Jill in April but it was too cold to use the Barn at that time.

Here is there contact information:

Orange Tree Fine Catering

There is a renovated barn north of Brampton in the Caledon Hills  Cost $750 plus GST per event but the property owners have made the venue available exclusive to them & only if they are catering and managing the event

Rental package for the barn which would include tables, chairs, china, linens & cutlery is $10.00 per person.

Buffet dinner can range from $18.00 a person to $30.00 per person depending menu selection.

Service Staff is $25.00 an hour per person with a 4 hour minimum.   The Barn is not heated.

What about High Park or Bruce's Mill?

Or any of the ones on this page: http://www.greatertoronto.worldweb.com/SightsAttractions/ParksGardens/

Parkwood estates or Parkwood Manor (I think that's what it is called) uses a company called Kingsbridge Catering if I'm remembering right - it may be Knightsbridge. Sorry I'm not entirely clear about the names but look them up on google and you should find them. They are in Oshawa/Ajax area and they have BBQ options as well.

I am told by a wedding planner with a good rep though that almost any place can do just about any food you want, you just have to request custom menus and not go necessarily with the menu they have on hand.

Good luck!

Me (29) + FH (32) + his son (12) = 9.5 years together

Done so far:
-Wedding party chosen
-Put brainstorming into overdrive
-Considered every venue in South-Central Ontario and narrowed down to a short-list (I think)
-Started dress search
-Hired a planner/coordinator
-Compiled lists of vendor services (photography, decor, cakes, etc.)
-Booked NOTHING! But getting close........ I think?

That's funny, I think you mean Kings Court.  I actually used them for my wedding last year!  I didn't know they had a BBQ option, I'll definately check that out.

I wonder if it would be cheaper/easier to do the BBQing ourself instead of having it catered.

I'm going to check for some potluck posts.  I wonder if that is too tacky though...

Yes, that's them!! Kings Court. In Ajax I think? Parkwoods Manor or whatever it's called has them as their exclusive caterer this year. I loved some of their sample menu options - really unique ideas.

I loved the fact that they had a Latke station option - not sure if I mentioned that already. Jewish brides will know what this is and likely anyone who knows about Jewish food. Very cool.
