Hi Ladies

HF has his own tux, but we are now faced with picking for our groomsmen.  We want a classic look (you know, where we won't be groaning over the pics in 10 years because of the tux we chose).

What is "in" but classic in a tux?  Things to be avoided?

Our groomsmen are 5'8"-5'11" in height and all an average-slender weight.

Thanks!

I still think Moore's is the best for prices and selection, plus they don't have those awful 1/2 vests, you know, the kind that have no back and look awful without the jacket! We're sticking with the classic look, but with a tie not a bow tie. Black and white only. I think that keeps it timeless. Pinstripes are nice too, but I found that when in all black, they looked a little "Sopranos".

Just what PP said we are also doing the black and white only as our entire wedding party is blackand white. My FH is have black tux with balck shirt vest and white tie regular tie not bow tie. The groomsmen are having black tux with white shirt vess and white ties. My FH looks so good in black and he is just sooooo HOT in black

I never even thought about that! I better call our place tomorrow and see what they have.

We're going with Black and Ivory everything. FH is in a black jacket, ivory vest, shirt, tie and the groommen are the same except for a black vest.

fh owns his tux and will be wearing a black tux with a 3 button jacket, 6 button full vest (black) and a silver tie.  We want the groomsmen in black tuxes, with a deep red vest to match the bridesmaids and a black tie.  The question I'm really trying to get at is not vest color etc, but tux style - how many buttons, what type of lapel etc.

We're trying to find "what's in" for 2008 - most looks are timeless, they're small details.  There doesn't seem to be any straight forward list or website that we've found.  Any advice/suggestions/things to avoid regarding the style of tux we rent?

Thanks!!!

No tails, no bow ties, no ruffles (shouldn't have to say that in the year 2008....but you never know) and a nice dark colour (I prefer black and it is always classy, elegant and never goes out of style).

Our GM have vests matching the BMs (royal blue) and FH has black.  We are going ties not bow ties, I like them much better, and the boys might get top hats for fun when they drive to the venue and maybe some pics hehe.
