Alright ladies, I have always had oily sking (T-zone) but in the past week, with all this heat and humidity...OMG....I can't believe how oily my skin is.  My make up doesn't stay on at all. 5 minutes after I cleanse my face, it's all oily again.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Please!!

I feel your pain!!!  I use blotting papers - I like the ones from Mary Kay the best - to take away the oil.  But I would love to hear other' suggestions as well.

I use less moisturizer and foundation in the summer. I wash my face, and then use a pressed powder instead of a cream foundation, and it seems to work a bit better. If I'm not mistaken, I believe there are some oil control pressed powders available. This in combination with the blotting papers might solve your problem.

By the way, one really good moisturizer that isn't too oily and has SPF in it, is the Body Shop Vitamin E Facial Day Lotion. I use it every day, it's awesome.

Estee Lauder has a great foundation called "Double Wear"...and a great powder foundation also called "Double Wear". They are long wearing and hold up amazingly through all of this yucky heat!

Benefit (a line now available at Shoppers Drug Mart where they have a full designer beauty dept. with cosmeticians on hand) has some interesting products to beat shine that I was checking out the other day. I LOVE them!

Wondering if anyone has used any of their stuff and what you thought. The stuff feels great (from samples I tried).

Also you might consider cleansing with toner. I agree with less is more in summer time. Something to beat the shine is best and don't rely on foundation too much as it just melts and really, in high heat there's not much that can prevent that other than staying out of direct sun and indoors with A/C.

2 B Wed in June 2009!
Me (29) + FH (32) + his son (12) = 9.5 years together

Done so far:
-Wedding party chosen
-Put brainstorming into overdrive
-Considered every venue in South-Central Ontario and narrowed down to a short-list (I think)
-Started dress search
-Hired a planner/coordinator
-Compiled lists of vendor services (photography, decor, cakes, etc.)
-Booked NOTHING! But getting close........ I think?

Oh, believe me, when I get home, the first thing I do is wash off my makeup and cleanse my face...but 5 minutes later, really oily and sticky from the humidity. This has never happened to me before. Not to this extent. I will try the toner and that Estee Lauder foundation. Thanks for the suggestions ladies.

I have the same problem and I started using Bioderma's Sebium line of skin care products. I got in at the cosmetic's department at Shoppers Drug Mart. I love it, it's great!
