I have checked out a few on-line discount dress shops and a couple of them have the dresses I am looking for (bm dresses). I just read about on CBer that had a horrible experience with House of Brides - which is one of the websites I was looking at. I am leaning towards Netbride.com and I was wondering if anyone had some advice or previous experience thay would like to share to maybe help me decide what to do. I also checked 'best bridal prices' site and they have the same dresses, but for more expensive than the others. . .

What to do . . .????

I went through Trinklet Creations in Vancouver.  They were fast, a really good price and very helpful.  I thought I had the same problem as the House of Brides girl, but it turned out 2 of my bridesmaids just guessed at what size they would be instead of measuring.  I had to order one new dress on a rush and they were so helpful and understanding of my panick.  I would totally recommend them.

DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT WORTH SAYING THE MONEY....I am living in HORROR right now trying to find another dress for one of my girls because I ordered from House of Brides and the MANUFACTURER!!!! not House of Bride...the Manufacturer made an error when creating and labelling the size of the dress.....if we had more time this could have been fixed, but again the Manufacturer took forever sending the dresses to House of brides and they took 4.5 months to ship!!!

Order locally!!

My friend ordered her wedding dress and all bridesmaid dresses through netbride last summer. All of the dresses were perfect. The only issue she ran into was shipping. They gave her  2-6 week window, and it came in just on time at the end of the 6 weeks. If you have a lot of time then go for it. Maybe give them an earlier wedding date. But in terms of the dresses themselves, no problems.

I ordered form therosedress.com and had no problems. The dresses were better than I expected and the shipping was fast. The only thing was that they were 2 sizes too big, but the girls had no problem getting them taken in.

my advice is DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!!

most designers do not sell their dresses online. they all provide store lists through their websites.

alot of these online discount sites are making replicas of designer dresses. many of them also illegally use the photos of the dresses from the designers' websites. not to say the dresses they make aren't nice, but they are not authentic.

if you find a dress you like on these sites, google the designer and see if the online site is an authorized dealer. if not, you're taking a risk ordering from them.
