| I did my legs once, and it wasnt' too bad. Back of the legs was a little awkward tho! Tried bikini once, ouch!  Way too awkward. Plus, they usually ask you to pull some of the skin taut, so you'd need way more hands to do that PLUS pull the strip! Places I've gone to have bikini for ~$25, french bikini (little off the top too) ~$35 and brazilian... I forget, was a while ago!

Tell me why I can somehow see you doing this Danica As a professional, I highly reccomend that if you are going to wax yourself, start with your legs, doing small strips at a time. DO NOT do your bikini yourself!! when I was taught how to do it, we had the client help to pull the skin taut, so you have 3 hands holding skin and one of yours to pull! I've seen women come in and have literally taken strips of skin off. Go to a professional, trust me  Its a matter of either having a nice smooth bikini line and having skin ripped off

I've been waxing my legs myself for years.
I usually use the Andrea wax strips - super quick and easy and no mess. The strips have the wax already on them and they work well.

OK...this topic just scares me in general. Please tell me, what was your experience with the Brazilian? Never have gone...was thinking about it.I'll be honest, it hurt like a ***! But, short term pain.... FH loved it and keeps asking when I'll do it again. He been waiting a few years! I'll prob do it for the wedding, but maybe not totally bare down there this time. I'll probably leave a "landing strip"

Never have gone...was thinking about it.I was the same as you, but finally bit the bullet last month. Honestly, it wasn't that bad, and I did the full 'californian' wax. I really thought it was going to be much worse, and thought oh is that it? when it was over. Mine lasted about 2 weeks tops. I wanted to try it before I do it for the honeymoon. I plan on going again this week (she recommends every 4 weeks.. which could get costly if you want to keep it up). I loved it, as did FH, while it lasted.. Lucky for me, we're doing long distance, so I didn't see him while I was, umm, growing it out.. Usually I always shave.. I doubt I'll be able to keep that up once we move in together, lol. But as a nice surprise for both you and him, I'd definitely try it!
