My parents are graciously throwing my FH and I an engagement party this weekend and out of the next 6 days, Saturday is the only day that there are supposed to be thunderstorms  It's inside, but we're hiring a professional photographer and were hoping to do some nice outdoor photos. I'm even getting my hair done and bought a pair of pretty white, satin shoes for the event. Now I'm all worried that both will be ruined. Stupid rain...GO AWAY!!! Maybe since it's lucky to have rain on your wedding day, the same can be said for your engagement party?  I always thought that whole saying was just to make the bride feel better though...

So FH and I had our engagement party yesterday and I was a very lucky girl because the rain stayed away  We had a fabulous time and all our guests said they had a great time too. That's the most important thing. Everyone was very generous with their gifts and monetary donations, which will help us with our deposit for the venue this weekend. As I mentioned, we had a pro photographer so I'll post pics as soon as I get them
