After you get engaged, where does your promise ring go?  I have mine on my right hand right now (for almost a year now) but just wondering if there is a "proper" place for it.

Well, Friday June 13th, 2008 came and went, I still can't believe I'm a married woman!

I personally don't have a promise ring, but I know a lot of the girls on here have said that they just wear it as a right-hand ring just the way you have.

I know one of my friends has also worn it on a chain as a necklace, and it's symbolic because it's close to her heart.

I don't think there is a "proper" place to wear it. It's whatever means most to you!

It's for this exact reason that I'm chosing to get an engagement and wedding ring that can go together on the same finger.  Not a "set" but that look good together.   I love my promise ring, and I don't want to stop wearing it.

This is almost identical to my ring, mine is a bit smaller because I don't like the big stones (looks silly on my skinny fingers)

I am thinking of having mine resized and giving it to the daughter I am gaining, or making it into a pendant for her to wear because my promise ring is yellow gold and my E-ring is white gold. I thought it would be nice to give her because it is a promise for us to be a family.

I am SO upset - my FH gave me a promise ring about 8 years ago, for our 1 year anniversary together, and it was 14k and diamonds......... had a centre brilliant cut with 3 smaller diamonds on either side. It wasn't expensive but it was so pretty and it was from HIM. It was lost over the years as I gained weight and couldn't wear it anymore and then it went missing. You girls who still have yours are so lucky!

2 B Wed in June 2009!
Me (29) + FH (32) + his son (12) = 9.5 years together

Done so far:
-Wedding party chosen
-Put brainstorming into overdrive
-Considered every venue in South-Central Ontario and narrowed down to a short-list (I think)
-Started dress search
-Hired a planner/coordinator
-Compiled lists of vendor services (photography, decor, cakes, etc.)
-Booked NOTHING! But getting close........ I think?

That's where I have mine, too

It couldn't go anywhere else (except in a jewellery box) unless I got it resized.
