| Sorry it's taken me so long to get on here to update you all. So my due date was July 5th but my beautiful baby girl decided she wanted to join us on Canada Day!! Birth Story: I woke up on July 1st with diahhrea (sorry TMI) and was getting some cramping. Didn't think much of it since my water didn't break so I decided to take a warm bath and the contractions/cramping were coming pretty regularly. So Justin started timing them and they were 2 min apart and were a minute long. We couldn't believe they were coming that quickly and got everything in the car and off to the hospital we went. When we got to the hospital at 9:00am and we were hooked up to fetal monitors to see how she was dealing with the contractions. They checked me and I was already 3cm dialated. So we were staying. I stayed on the monitors for about 45 mins then I got up to walk around to bring her down. After an hour and a half I felt tons of pressure and felt like I needed to have a bowel movement, so they checked me and I was 6-7cm. The contractions were coming back to back and I asked for something to help manage the pain. They gave me a shot of Demerol because I was progressing so fast there was no way I was going to get an epidurl. The demerol did nothing for me and I was still in a lot of pain. They asked me if I wanted to try the nitrious oxide (laughing gas) and I opted for it. Well it saved me!!!! It didn't take the pain away just a bit of the edge off but I felt a little bit in control at that point. At 1:15pm my doctor got to the hospital and checked me and I was 9cm. He broke my water. Unfortunately there was merconium in my water. Within 5 mins he asked me to push to see if the last bit of my cervix would go and I was 10cm and ready to push. I was pushing for about 30 mins and she came down really well. DH could see the hair on her head when I was pushing. I just couldn't get her over the last hump so he had to do an episotomy. We pushed some more but couldn't get her out. They opted to use the vaccumm and at that point as we wanted to get her out as fast as possible so she didn't have any infections (merconium). With one pull she was out and she was absolutely perfect and a GIRL!!!!!! Everyone swore I was having a boy! I can't believe I gave birth to her under 5 hrs of my labor starting. So here are some pics of my beautiful baby girl!! Hadleigh Joline Boxall - 8lbs 7oz and 19.5 inch long. Born July 1st at 1:49.

Sorry for the long post and all the pictures but I am so in love I can't even explain it!!! Thanks for all the congratulations and thinking of us. Heather and Hadleigh
