Hi all.

I am getting ready to book this company as my ensemble and piano for my ceremony/reception, but I would like to hear from you ladies who have used their services. Before I make the committment of booking and signing a contract - any reviews?

Thanks,

Smacklin

I used them --- George was great to work with in terms of planning the wedding music and had great suggestions.

They played very very well during the service, both with the traditional wedding songs, Catholic hymns, and more "unique" contemporary choices (ie not Celine Dion's The Prayer).

However I was unimpressed with the fact that the musicians showed up 5 minutes before instead of 15 minutes before so my guests walked into church in silence instead of the planned musical interlude and when I mentioned that after the fact in the standard customer survey form, I didn't get so much as a reply from George.

I wasn't expecting a financial return or anything like that, but as a customer service standard I expected at the very least for him to have taken some ownership for it, and given  the courtesy of a "I'm sorry to hear that, but I hope you happy over all".  It's like "Days done/I have your money, I don't care anymore" which left a sour taste in my mouth.

I would still recommend them highly for their capability but I would STRESS everything that is important to you so little disappointments don't happen.

Thanks for the review. Just out of curiosity....did you book the strings for 15 minutes before and after your ceremony?

That is what George suggested to me....as our ceremony is at 1pm, so he said to book from 12:45pm to 1:45pm (we do not have a mass).

Is this what you did?

Yes, that's what we were supposed to have too.

Hi there!

My contract was for one hour string quartet and it was $ 595 everything included.

That was the cheapest place we found for a quartet, including taxes and all and I think some of the girls here have used him before and thought the playing was well done.

Hope this helps,

Smacklin
