I don't have the solution that came with my e-ring anymore and I don't want to make a DIY mix.  I also want to have something at home to clean it, rather than take it a store and let them clean it with the sonic cleaner.

Has anybody tried buying solutions from stores like Walmart or the Bay to clean their e-ring?  The stuff at jewelry stores are probably overpriced so I'm looking for an alternative.

Has anyone used those to clean diamonds? Thanks!

My jeweler told me just to use dish soap and scrub gently with a toothbrush. I use a baby toothbrush cause it's a bit softer. It works just fine!

The best way to clean your ring is:

~ put a drop of dish washing liquid into a glass with warm water....soak for a few minutes.

~ take ring out of glass, use a very soft brissle toothbrush & gently clean the ring as well as under the diamond in the setting.

~ rinse with warm water, an dry with a soft cloth

I clean my rings once a week....and they come out nice and sparkly!!!!

My jewler actually gave me a ring cleaner, and you can buy it from different jewlers, home hardware, probably walmart. its by Hagerty. i do believe just called Hagerty Jewelry Cleaner. does all stones and metals (not opals). its a little white round containter/pod with pink label and pink liquid. you soak it for 2 mintues then use the little brush in it to brush then rinse and pat dry with a lint free soft cloth (i just ues a hand towel).

Our jeweler told us half solution of Mr Clean, half hot water, soak and brush with a toothbrush. I use it on diamond and plat and it works amazing! She's brand new and shiny when I'm done

Avon sells a jewellery cleaner and I believe it's on sale right now. I use the soap and water.
