We have 2 cars, and I couldn't imagine it any other way! That being said, we both commute to work (we COULD carpool, some days).

| we went from having 2 cars when we were child free and traded those in for one minivan. We bought it the day before I had Aiden actually. It works for us because my mom lives less then 10 mins from us and is retired so if there is ever a time I need a vehicle we are free to borrow hers. My sis is also 10 mins from us as well. Dh does shift work with days off inbetween and when he is working evenings or nights I don't even miss the car. Plus, our go train station is in walking distance from us and that helps as well as we live in the burbs. Saving $$ on extra gas and car insurance that would be spent on another car has been the incentive for us.

Had our bright-eyed boy wonder March 10th 2007.
Bought our brand new first home June 2007 Pregnant with Baby # 2 May 2008

| yikes! we have four vehicles - we have a pick up truck, a car and just bought an SUV (because we're expecting) and another car that is for sale but is still being driven. The new car was mine up until about a month ago when we bought the suv - we were planning on buying a new car for DH but when we found out we were preggo we bought an suv - I have back problems so the fact that it sits up higher is great for me and space is an issue already with our dog so adding a baby to that we definately need something with more room. The truck DH just plain refuses to sell it since he built it and he says that sometimes you just need a truck

We currently have 4 vehicles, but the van and truck are our business vehicles. We each have our own car, but I am selling my car and upgrading to something newer as DH wants me driving something newer with a lo on the way. I could never imagine not having my own car. I like having the freedom to come and go as I please, plus it's kind of nice having a choice of vehicles.
