Do you know any extended family who might know where he is? When my FH's daughter tried to find him when she was 17 (he hadn't seen her since she was a baby - the mom's choice), she called his grandmother, who called FH and gave him the phone number.

| Good luck with your search, and if you find him then I hope you get to meet him. I just want to say that, sometimes people are hard to find because they don't want to be found and they may not want to meet the person who is looking for them. So please don't get your hopes up too much b/c you might have a big let down in the end. Hope for the best, but expect the worst. Wishing you a happy ending.

Unfortunatly my father does not have any contact with the extended family... it was a very messy divorce that ultimately had such results...  he's pretty sure that his mother had filled his head with a lot of garbage and thus not being able to speak with him whenever he did get phone numbers....So yes, what sofabride (excuse me if i got ur name wrong) we are hoping for the best but expecting the worst. We are just taking it one step at a time for now ... we shall see what the future holds...

What about just putting his name into Google? If he has a common name, do something like "his name" + "nova scotia"

I did this as well... and I think I found the site that you were refering to in your original post that your dad uses. I'm still working on it for you. Hunter... my company deals with Post Merger Cleanups when two (or more) companies merge. So we track people down to let them know that they have shares that they need to exchange. We get quite a few older accounts where the original shareholder is deceased so we have to track down the family to let them know that there are outstanding shares, most of the time they don't even know they exist and are very happy to hear from us $$$. Also people who have moved and haven't provided a new address etc.
