So, due to McMaster NOT telling us if we can have the site we want for the ceremony until September (8 months before the wedding)...I'm currently looking at alternative places to have it. I ended up getting a hold of someone from the Old Mill and it costs $1200!!!! The site at McMaster is/was going to cost us $175!!! I have difficulty paying so much after hearing the possibility of a $200 ceremony site, but I don't want to be stuck without one!
SO...Has anyone booked/or had been married at the RBG in Burlington. I am trying to get ahold of someone for prices but no luck yet. I've also heard that they aren't as nice to you if you are not having your reception there as well.
Any input from you ladies would be fantastic!!
Oh, and sorry for the novel of a post

We had our pictures done at the RBG and had to pay a fee for that....I think it was around $300, but I'm not positive on that since it's been a few years. I'm sure they'll charge you a good amount to have your ceremony there, but the grounds are beautiful so it's probably worth it. I don't have any experience dealing with them on anything other than booking for pictures.
Good luck!

My wedding planner just took us to the Old Mill yesterday. it is very beautiful and I am seriously considering it but dont have prices yet. She is doing a wedding there tomorrow so she said while she was there she would ask the woman who works there for prices for us. this is my #1 choice but I know its going to be quite pricy in comparrison to the scottish rite that is giving us such a ridiculously good price i almost laughted out loud when he told me.
Invitations (sans info) done, and thats it.......

we paid $1650 for the RBG for ceremony AND reception for a party of 120. we picked there as we need little decor because of all the flowers etc, the price included complete set up and take down of all the equipment (chairs etc) for the ceremony AND reception. it also included the cost of having pictures in the gardens. they do have pricing on their site as i've no idea how big your guestlist is. we are VERY happy with all the service we'd received so far and it's been worth every penny we spent.

Both beautiful but I think I would pick Old Mill if it was my wedding... it was on my short list.
Marrying my love, on Sept 20/08... with our children at our side.
