I'm frustrated!

I've been using an OPK all week to see when I'll ovulate. None of the tests ever gave me anything close to 2 lines. Arghhhhhhhhh!

My fertility doctor said I'd be ovulating Friday Saturday or Sunday. So you'd think I'd have had 2 lines by now! NOPE!!!!!! Nothing even indicating that tomorrow will be a fertile day.

Now, either my doc is way off and I'm going to ovulate later than expected or the OPK from the US (Brand name "Answer") totally suck and don't work for crap.  I used a test and it didn't even register the control line. So I used another (my test for tomorrow) and it at least gave me the control line. SO I totally do not recommend buying this OPK - you get what you pay for -and being that it was so cheap, ya now I know why. Total rip off! Stear clear of this brand.  That's totally my opinion.

So, I'm going to go buy another OPK  and pray I can find something on sale somewhere. Does anyone know if any pharmacy is having a sale on OPK's this weekend??? I don't even know if Costco sells them - does anyone know???

DH and I BD'd twice yesterday so I know we are covered and we'll BD today and tomorrow etc...

But I want to be able to pin it down. I'm not getting EWCM yet. Clomid tends to dry women up and CM is few and far between. However, I've noticed this cycle that I am not as dry so who the heck knows. Did I mention I was frustrated and confused as all hell???? Well I am!

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh help! I don't know what to do except buy another OPK and pray my doctor was wrong???!!!??? If she's wrong, that sorta makes me scared cuz what else has she been wrong about. I'm going to call monday morning unless I get an OPK that says I'm fertile - and ask for another ultrasound. At least that will tell me if there's still follicles in the ovary waiting to ovulate or if they've already ovulated.

*SIGH* can you feel my frustration?

The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness.

Making the decision to have a child-it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

The mother's heart is the child's schoolroom.

To understand a mother's love, bear your own children.

Mother is the name for God on the lips& in the hearts of little children.

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.

Mrs. M and loving it!!!

MrsM... I can totally feel your frustration!!!

I'm sorry you're having a tough time with those cheap OPK's..... I think it's a very good idea to call your doc on Monday and ask for another ultrasound!! If you guys are BDing everyday, then atleast you know you're covering all your bases!!

I go for my Day 15 ultrasound on Monday... I'm nervous to see what's going on and if they can tell when/if I'm going to ovulate...

Did your doc tell you it was better to BD everyday, rather than every other day? I'm confused as to whether we should be BDing everday... My FH has no known issues...

If you do go out and buy some new OPK's, I hope you get to see those 2 lines!!!!

Good luck at your CD 15 ultrasound. Believe it or not, even though they are just follicles, it's overwhelming to see on the U/S screen, especially if it is your first time. I've had numerous done since February, and it still overwhelms me and makes me emotional to see - because I look at it like this: there's my hope right there on screen that it's going to be my month and it keeps me going cycle to cycle.

My fertility doc put its like this:

She thought I'd ovulate friday or sunday - so she said friday and sunday are "work" days in that we MUST BD on those days. She said we can do more for fun if we want.  It wont harm anything.  So I figured if my DH can get it up, he's working, regardless if it is a workday or not LOL - so far, he's put in overtime since yesterday and will continue to do double shifts if he can   LMAO!!! the more spermies the better!!!

LOL!! Overtime... that's too funny! I guess I was just worried cause I've read you should BD every other day to give DH a chance to collect a new batch (wow, I so didn't word that well!) You know what I mean though? hehe

I'm really hoping that the 50mg dosage of clomid is going to be enough for me to actually ovulate.... Thanks for the warning about how overwhelming the u/s will be!

I hope you get some answers from your doc on Monday!! Maybe we'll both have u/s news to report back!!

Oh hey, the boards are working again!  How about that...

Nicole, so glad to hear you're not out!!  Keep up the bd-ing and babydust to you!!

Mrs M. - that must be totally frusterating about the opks.  Even though I'm usually pretty frugal, I do shell out for the clear blue digital opks because there's no interpretation - its a clear yes or no.  Whatever kind you get, I hope it gives you good news tomorrow!  Sending you ovulation vibes!!

smiky - good luck at your day 15 ultrasound!  Ovulation vibes to you too!

Not much new with me...am happy to report that once she actually decided to arrive, this has been the most 'textbook normal' AF I have had since January, which makes me feel very good about the chances that my body is all back to normal now   I am on vacation next week (YAY) so I am looking forward to enjoying a relaxing week, and when that's over, it'll be getting back into my fertile time soon after, so I'm feeling pretty good all-round
