lately, whenever my lo has her first bottle in the morning, she seems to spit up- sometimes a little, sometimes more. she never used to do this and it's really only with the first bottle. always happens a few minutes after i burp her. she is on lactose free formula and sleeps all night(has since 4 weeks old) she seems happy and smiles after she does it

I wouldn't worry about it, it could be that she doesn't eat all night so she gulps down that first bottle in the morning, and gets a big gulp of air and some of the formula sits on top of it and when you burp her, the air comes out and so does some of the formula, nothin to worry about thou

I agree with PP... sounds like she may just be gettin' too much and even though you burp her, there's still a bubble caught that just works itself out later. Perhaps you could burp her half way through the bottle, then finish it & burp again and see if that makes any difference?
Good luck,
Melissa

Good luck, Melissathat is what i do and she spits up after each burp only in the am. i'm thinking it's cause she hasn't eaten all night and her tummy is empty and she's drinking too fast. she also drinks less first thing in the morning then the rest of the day as well.
