| So ladies, I have BIG TIME baby fever. I keep saying im going to go have my IUD taken out but when the time comes I panic and dont go get it done. I know I want a baby ( I have a 3 and a half year old son already ) but there just seems to be this ..... nervousness *I think* I dont even know what it is. We just bought a house , I recently lost 15 lbs and am working on lossing more. I dont really know whats holding me back. I think it may be my age / weight . Im worried about perception of me I guess, I had my 1st pretty young and most of my friends arent even close to their 1st although some have one or more. And I know I may be jumped on for this but im really worried about the weight gain. With my 1st the weight gain was bad and I actually weight more now then I did when I had him ( some of you may have read my previous post ) I dunno ... maybe it simply just nerves of such a life change ? Did any of you feel nervous about starting the process of TTC ?

| I think everyone worries when they start TTC. I know DH and I worried we wouldn't be able to concieve, or that we'd have problems, or that we would be able to concieve but there would be something wrong with the baby ... I was worried about how pregnancy would affect me (symptoms, etc.) I think it's very natural and NORMAL to worry. The decision to have a child is a very big decision to make! It's life changing ... IMO the most life changing decision you can make! However, I think it's important to not let your worries and fears consume you.

I totally agree. Having a baby - is always a huge decision that changes everything from your lifestyle to your family dynamic. If you weren't a little worried then I"D be worried lol I think it's completely normal. I had huge baby fever for years before fh and I decided to try and once I was pg I was terrified for a while - that OMG what have we done - feeling. And I still have moments where I wonder how I'll cope in different situations and how my life is going to change. But the good things about having a baby (for me right now) out weigh the bad or difficult so we went for it
Mel is a mommy! Liam joined us Sepember 15, 2008 FINALLY going to be MRS L October 3rd, 2009!! 3 year engagements SUCK.

Shawna - this is totally me right now... Every month I say that this is my last pack of BCP, but then I always call and re-fill my order!
I also had my DD when I was pretty young and most of my friends do not have any kids right now, and arent even thinking of having kids, and some have mulitple children..
I'm not sure what we are waiting for either - we just bought a house too!
I think you "hit the nail on the head" when you said it's simply nerves from such a life change... going from having one child to two children seems to be a pretty big deal to me...
I think that it would be best for us financially if we waited until next summer (it would just give us that extra comfort while on mat leave) but I deperatly want to start trying to have another baby NOW!

I think mostly its just nerves , I know my life will flip upside down again. My LO was NOT a good sleeper and infact didnt start sleeping though the night until he was almost 3 and for a while I really didnt feel like myself and now I see things settling down and am nervous to stir the pot so to say. I KNOW I want another I think its just fear of making such a HUGE decision.
