| I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and I realized a couple of weeks ago that my doctor never sent me for this test. I had the test with my first, although, I don't remember when, and was starting to wonder when I would have it with this one...I am going to ask him about it at my next appointment, but I have a feeling that he probably didn't think it was necessary.

I had to have the 2 hour test right from the start because my Dad's a diabetic (albeit controlled with diet). I think it was at 26 weeks. I did wind up having gestational diabetes and thankfully, I have been given the all clear now that Connor is here (had to do the same test again, the 2 hour version). I must say I was worried about the test. I was in a lab to give some blood while I was pregnant and saw another pregnant woman drinking that drink, then she promptly went and threw it up! I didn't know what I'd be in for!

SCM57 (7/24/2008) I was in a lab to give some blood while I was pregnant and saw another pregnant woman drinking that drink, then she promptly went and threw it up! I didn't know what I'd be in for! Nice - way to reassure you about the test, eh?
Married my love on October 20, 2007; our sweet little Owen Thomas arrived October 23, 2008!
