Hi,

My hair salon in Whitby (where I've gotten my hair cut twice - but been happy with) quoted me $150 to do my hair in an up-do for my wedding.  That includes the consultation, as well as the hair trial.

Does that sound like a lot or is it reasonable, given the time it will take, and that it would be a "Senior Stylist" doing my hair.  A normal haircut there costs around $50.

Thanks

LR

I am finding wedding updos to be about $75-90 plus another $45-50 for a trial so that sounds pretty good to me.

I'm not from the GTA, but I got my hair done for $50 (trial was free) as long as my bridesmaids booked there as well ($45). All prices were flat rate...

I'm in London though, and got it done at Side Street salon

There is a Asian hair salon at Gerrard near pape, called Italy, the women who does updo's studied in Italy hence the name. She has done about 10 updos on me plus some for freinds and family of mine, she is very reasonable, i have hair to my chest and she charges about 50. I neer tell her how to do it, I just say updo and she is very creative. good luck  everyone

If you know youa re going to hire them for your day than I think it;s worth it.  $150 for an updo incl a trial is good.  If youre not sure though, then I wouldn't commit to the $150.  Personally, I LOVE my hair stylist and have had my friends use him for their wedding.  I've been his client for a while now, and he is so talented and I totally trust my hair in his hands.  My updo is going to be around the same price inlcuding a trial as well.
