We would love to get married outside on a beautiful ranch/cottage/lakeside cabin/orchard type setting. I am thinking 40-60 people , twinkly lights in the apple trees, torches, dance floor, dj and a beautiful view... On the rustic side rather than the polished. Budget is a concern as of right now. But we'd rather pay for a great venue than have an expensive dress/flowers etc.. Any ideas??? Websites etc..

| Buffalo Mountain Lodge is beautiful and rustic, but it is one of the most expensive places in Banff (along with the Rim Rock and the Banff Springs). However, the food and rooms are amazing!! Try this link for other venues in Alberta: www.weddingswest.ca

| In Calgary there is a place called Reader Rock Cafe. It is a cafe and gardens up on cemetary hill, and even though it is in the middle of the city almost it doesn't feel like it and the gardens are lovely. I contemplated that location b/c it's lovely.

DogMelissa got married in Banff and she had a beautiful rustic, country setting. Can't remember exactly where. Maybe send her a message for more info.

| Rafter 6 Ranch on the way to Banff is beautiful! It has a chapel with this amazing view and it is for sure rustic. Also in Calgary, check out The Ranche in Fish Creek Park. They have a beautiful garden you could have the ceremony in. Good luck in finding something!

I second Readers Rock... But your party has to be under 40 people (Ours was 43... We just missed out!)
How about this? The Ranche does weddings:

Also, how about Nakoda Lodge? We wanted to have our wedding here, but they didn't have our date. I don't think the wedding planner is on-site all the time, so they are a little hard to get hold of.
