| I bought my dress, which I still really like. But we are getting married in October (not August as originally planned) and we are taking tons of pictures outside. I live in Northern Manitoba and October can be COLD (I am talking snow by Halloween) and I think I might need something heavier or at least with sleeves. Here is my dress.
I really don't go for the fur jacket thing.

I say keep it! You can always get a shawl, a fur one even, to keep you warm or a nice white coat that goes with your dress...if you are really worried, see about having sleeves made for your dress! It's beautiful, and if you feel beautiful in it, you should keep it!

Honestly, there isn't a wedding dress out there that is truly warm enough for snow! I'd keep your current dress and perhaps tweek where you take the majority of your pics. I also know lots of girls that have been married in winter that just went out without a coat at all - yikes

if you love the dress.. keep it. You could always get a nice pashmina wool shall (i've seen lots on ebay) in one of your wedding colors.

It's a beautiful dress! You can always get a shawl or cape for the outdoor pictures. Maybe don't take as many outside, so you get some nice dress shots without the goosebumps taking over the picture!

I love the idea of the shawls. I am now thinking of getting some for the bridesmaids. They are wearing black dresses, what colour do you think? I think this would make a nice gift they can reuse.
