| I was really nervous about this because I feel the food is one of the most important aspects for the guests (they will forget decor and flowers but everyone remembers if the meal was good/bad). I am getting married at the Crowne Plaza (formerly brock plaza) in NIagara Falls and they have a new executive chef, who is awesome and so accomadating, I thought everything was fine the way it was but he kept coming up with ideas to tweak it and make it seasonal (fall). Heres my menu: Start with Broccoli and cheddar soup which was amazing. Then Mixed baby greens with raspberries and spiced pecans and a maple raspberry dressing. Then choice of either; Prime rib with yorkshire pudding, au juice, roasted new potatoes, roasted root vegetables (parsnip, carrot, beets) and roasted squash. Turkey stuffed with a cranberry/nut stuffing, parmasean whipped potatoes, gravy, same veg. or Vegetarian, which I cant even describe (wasnt your normal pasta thats usually offered) it was kinda like a manacotti but no pasta, thinly sliced potatoes held it together and it was stuffed with goat cheese, lentils, peas, carrots, mushrooms.... and then there was some mashed cauliflower and this kinda thai curry (burt not really) drizzle. It was fanatastic, I am a big time carnivor but am so tempted. And of course for dessert we are going to alternate (so one person will get one, the next the other) and this was the chefs suggestion since I couldnt make up my mind. A caramel apple cheesecake and a chocolate mousse dome both with seasonal fruit garnishes. I cant wait and am so glad it was all delicious (and to make the men happy, the portions were huge)

That is a lovely view. I booked my wedding without getting to see the rooms (I was in halifax and oly booked at the beginning of june for october this year). I booked for the rainbow room in the brock which also has a view, but upon seeing it last week I moved to a different room(without a view) The room at the brock just wasnt very nice and the view not great enough to sacrafice for a ugly room. The rrom I switched to is beautiful (my friend said it reminds her of beauty and the beast). I love the rest of the brock though, the main lobey and chandelier are gorgeous.
