Hi All,

I am not too sure how many of you are scottish or are marrying one, but I am.  I was wondering which kilt pattern you have decided with and what colour bridesmaid dress to match.  We are going with the Graham of Montrose.

It is a greeny colour with a white stripe.  We are getting married in July so I am thinking black dresses tea length for my bridesmaids, but can you do black in July?  What do you think?

I would LOVE to have a scottish themed wedding (my side, not his) but my FH would never go for wearing a kilt.  I even looked into this a bit in the beginning, because there are so many things you can do with favors and decorations and I had SO many ideas....anyway.

This is our tartan, Farquharson clan.

OMG, it's huge! sorry!

ETA: oh yea, if I can do eggplant in June, you can do black in July.  Besides if you pick airy light fabrics, it could work really well!

I just had a look at a big sample of the graham of montrose and it's very similar to mine, lol!

My son was RB a couple of years ago in a July wedding with a very similar tartan to yours... and the girls wore black tealength dresses... soooo classy!!! My son btw... loved the kilt, he was 5 at the time and did not want to give it back!!

Marrying my love, on Sept 20/08... with our children at our side.

i totally think you could do black...like the pp said..just make sure the fabrics are light and flowy and it itll look perfect!!!! You could also go with the grey colour if you are afraid itll look to dark.....grey and black look wicked together too!
