I don't know about you, but when I was 18 and moved out on own my Grandmother bought me Ugly White Blender, the generic cheap real glass sort that never seem to break down.  I will find myself in the applicance section of stores looking longily at the ones that have a plastic bowl and come in beautiful designer colours or even just the $30.00 stainless steel jobby pc blender, but can't justify scraping a perfectly good blender just 'cause it ugly.

I think of all things that I can do to burn out the motor.

You know, "polishing" my DH's nuts and bolt collection with it.

Chopping up marbles

Accidently dropping it

Etc.

You're one kinky mofo.

I give stuff away too, mostly out of bordum, and wanting the newest and best lol call me a brat, but I do agree CERTAIN items have sentimental value, and a gift from your grandmother I can understand..

I think you have had it long enough though it owes you and your grandma nothing.. lol, and certainly donating it would be honorable.

If you REALLY cant give it away, dont break it, that is kinda wasteful. I would suggest buying the one you want and having TWO lol
