I'm looking for a used one too - I'm not planning to spend more than about $70-80 at most, because I could get a new one for not much more.

I paid 50$ for a used one that I found on Craig'sList. It was originally 600$ and is from Italy.

It doesn't look like those frilly ones from BabiesRUs, it has a wooden base and is quite a bit larger. It's probably the best thing that I bought.

My cradle was made by my Uncle and late Grandfather.

I also have a bassinet that was given to us by my SIL once they were done with it, but we havent even used it. I was thinking of selling it and giving them the money for it.

Was ldeitz.....now lstashko...but you can call me Lisa

The one we are looking at is $400.  It's made out of wood and matches our crib.

free!  cause we are just borrowing ours from DH's cousin.  Our plan is to keep the baby in the bassinette in our bedroom for the first few months then move him/her to the crib in the nursary.  I'm very thankful we have one on loan because:

a) we wouldn't be using it long and

b) we don't have room to store it when we no longer need it.
