Hello Ladies,

WEll, I have been married for 2 years now and I still havent gotten my passport changed into my married name. I was thinking that I better get this done. But I guess I have to apply for a new passport and fill out the forms again. Blah!

My passport now doesnt expire til next July so when I submit my new one will they take that into consideration???? Has anyone had this happen before?

Also can your guaranteer be anyone now?? Before it had to be a lawyer, doctor etc ?

Thanks for your help

The expiry date of your current passport doesn't matter. Your new one will be good for five years from the date it is issued. Kind of sucks, since you pay the whole amount each time.

And YES anyone can be your guaranteer! Well, within reason of course. Love this. I got DH to sign mine.

I just finally got my new passport last month and I've been married for over 2 years......I just waited until my old one was about to expire.  Your guarantor does have to have a valid passport.

I was just thinking about you the other day and was going to PM you and see how your doing.

I never got a new passport until mine expired.  No point in paying extra.  Your maiden name is still your name so I would just use it until it expires.

Married June 24, 2006

Been together 8 years and counting....

Oh by the way my name is Nicole
