I'm looking for a florist in Toronto - someone who's designs are a bit modern.

I'd like cymbidium orchids for my bouquet - any one have any suggestions??

I recommend Gina (owner of Destiny Flower and Gifts) at Leslie and Elgin Mills in Richmond Hill.  She is so fabulous and well-knowledged to deal with, throws in a few things and is a great price.  She has some other wedding services that she is acquainted with as well so if you get a few things through her you can get a discount on everything.

i highly recommend Pink Twig! http://pinktwig.ca/ They're right in little italy

it's run by two young girls and they are hip and modern and so nice! they worked with me to get me something i loved within my budget.

i wanted peonies - i LOVE peonies!!! but i got married in september when peonies are $16 a bloom

so clearly that wasn't going to happen. but i wanted something different - and the other florists i talked to either mocked me (because i hate hydrangeas) or told me i couldn't have what i wanted (rosemary as boutenieres? it can't be done. why don't you just have roses?)

they worked with me in person and through email until i was estatic with my order and i absolutely adored my flowers!

here's mine

bouts - rosemary

my king protea bouquet

my bridesmaids protea bouquets

corsages

rose ceremony roses

good luck! let us know who you go with

I totally recommend Laura from Bridal Blooms By Laura.  She is a young designer, great to work with, plus she works with your budget.  We loved her as soon as we met her.

She gave us the best prices and her work is BEAUTIFUL!  Trust me when I tell you I am the pickiest bride when it comes to flowers and she was the only one I liked out of all the florists I went to see.

Her website is www.bridalbloomsbylaura.ca

Good luck

I second Pink Twig! My friend Tanya is one of the owners and she's awesome! She's doing my flowers for me for my wedding in Niagara in June!
