FH and I are planning on going to Niagara Falls to get married with about 30 of our closest family members but are not planning a reception down there, cause were going to have a party here when we get back.  My question is what do you do after the vows and the pictures???

Any really good ideas or suggestions would be great.

Just about losing my head

Could you go for dinner at a nice restaurant?  Or plan a nice picnic in a park?

That is a tough question.  I would make sure that what ever you do end up doing your guests aren't expecting a dinner and dance.  Since that's what typically happens I bet some would just assume that's what's happening.

If its within your budget you could throw a cocktails only party after.  That way there is a little time to visit and what not and not feel a little anti -climactic!

We got married in niagara falls this summer with about 50 people.  We had a reception there though.  I would say go to a resturaunt.  The Sheraton on the falls has a nice fallsview resturaunt with a buffet.  Supposed to be amazing.(this was our original plan but we decided to have a full reception in the end)  If the food at the resturaunt is like we got for our reception there you will not be dissiapointed.  The only thing is they won't let you bring anything in favors or a cake or anything so that may not be good for you.  the resturaunt is called the penthouse.

good luck i hope you find something you like

Not sure what type of crowed your bringing is like but since your getting married in Niagara Falls what about once your married you and your hubby and your party all go out for dinner and then hit the Casino! Just let your guest no if they want to join you for dinner and the Casino its on their tab just so people can be for warned if they don't already no! It could be a fun theme too you could incorporate in the wedding.
