jaedagal thanks for the info on silent reflux - I'm almost sure that's what he has!

Lucas has always got the hiccups, always snacking because he seems to feel better when eating but then arches and grunts during and right after his feed, he coughs and sputters milk, he also wheezes and I have always suspected SOMETHING was coming up but not out because sometimes he "chews" and swallows out of nowhere...

We have a doctor's appointment on Monday re: the reflux so we will see what she says or if we have to see a pediatrician.

Thanks for the link!

this is totally what Quinn did too...and he has reflux (as i stated in the previous post)

Oh in case you do think it could be reflux and reading your response is totally sounds like he does now (that's exactly what Oliver did too).

Here's some tips for the time till you can see your Dr.
1). When burping him don't pat his back because that tends to help bring up the acids. What I was told to do and it worked great was to place a firm hand on his back and in a circular motion rub his back. This does bring up all the burps and it works just as well as patting or bouncing a baby.

2) Keep Lucas in an up right position for at least 30 minutes after feeding. This helps stop some of the acids coming up.

3) Wear him in a sling as much as possible. It'll comfort him and if he's not a great sleeper during the day it'll help give him some naps anyways.

OMG I never thought of this as a possibility!
I wonder if Makayla has this problem. Lately she's been spitting up quite a bit and she does the arching, grunting, looking like she's going to choke (she actually gags!!)

I'm going to mention this to the Dr.

He sounds over tired. Maybe not enough sleep.

Mine used to be kinda like that too so we started getting hime to bed earlier and shorter naps (2x 1/2-1 hour naps a day) and it help allot!

Good luck!
