We are serving our cake at at dessert time, with a sweet table.  Our wedding cake is only small enough to serve 70 people or so, and we have 95 at the wedding.  Some will choose to eat the cake, some will go with the sweet table.  It will all come down to personnel preference for your guests.

Hi there I make wedding cakes professionally and there's a few things you need to consider.

Yes when the wedding cake is at the end of the night after dessert and buffet I suggest ordering half the servings you need but when the wedding cake is served as the dessert you must order one piece per guest. Make sure you are provided a sample before booking if it tastes good they will eat it. Also the most common flavors tend to be the most plain vanilla is chosen over chocolate 5-1.
