I am desperately seeking a bagpiper for my wedding in September 2009! In the newmarket, york region area. Does anyone know of one? I once found one that lived in Uxbridge on the internet but I forgot to bookmark his page. Anyone out there that can help me?

Have you tried the 48th Highlanders of Canada?  I have been in contact with one previously as I am/was looking for a piper for my wedding.  He charges $250 for the ceremony and an additional $250 for the reception if you require it.  I don't remember how I found the information but here is his email address mwabrown@idirect.com  I don't know about travel as I live in the brampton/mississauga area but there is no harm in asking!  if he wont do it, maybe you can do a search for the Highlanders of Canada as they may have someone in your area.  Oh his name is Cpl. Michael Brown.  Good Luck!

Keep Smiling

Any of the kilt shops should also be able to refer bag pipers to you. I know when we were at the kilt shop on Leslie Street in Toronto, they had all kinds of cards for bag pipers.  Good luck finding one.

You could try asking at the Wee Tartan Shop on Main St in Port Perry.

When I was at the Durham Wedding show I got a pamphlet for a piper named Dave McGonigal.  We were planning on getting married near Uxbridge/Stouffville at the time and he said he had no problem travelling there.  The phone number on his pamphlet is (905) 665-8345 and it says her's in Whitby.
