Does anyone have a template that they gave to there MC?? i need something to give to my MC so he knows whats going on.

thats not like the kind of outline im looking for. im look for a write up like what you would give to your MC. not sure if there is one out there or not. just checking

Does this help? This is what we gave our MC

Instructions and Duties for the Master of Ceremonies

·        (approx. 6pm) Guests assemble for cocktails & reception after the group photo.

·        MC introduces herself, and introduces the wedding party (no grand entrance):

  Flower girl:              name

  Ring bearer:            name

  Best Ma’am:            name

  Maid of Honour:      name

  Bride and Groom: 

·        Next, MC introduces the Bride & Groom’s Families

Bride’s Parents: name

Bride’s Grandparents: name

Groom’s Mom: name

Groom’s Dad & Step Mom: name

Groom’s Granny: name

Groom’s Grandparents: name

·        Next, MC takes care of some housekeeping items (location of washrooms, ok to clink the glasses for a kiss, welcomes out of town guests, etc)

·        (approx. 6:30pm) MC introduces Jamie’s Grandpa: name, for the grace before the meal.

·        MC announces that the Bar will be closed during dinner.

·        As it’s a buffet dinner, the MC calls table #’s (cut outs provided below), but ensures that any tables with dietary requirements goes first.

·        (approx. 8pm) After main course, MC thanks the chef & staff, and speeches & toasts begin.

·        MC calls first Welcome to the Family speech: name

·        MC calls second Welcome to the Family speech: name.

·        MC calls last Welcome to the Family speech: name.

·        MC introduces Slideshow which the Bride & Groom have put together. MC invites guests on the ends of the room to feel free to come stand closer to be able to view the slideshow.

·        MC reads any e-mails, faxes, telegrams etc from guests who couldn’t attend.

·        MC calls first Toast: name who does toast to the bride.

·        MC calls second Toast: name who does toast to the groom.

·        MC calls Bride & Groom to respond: they thank various people for the wedding and reception.

·        End of the formal MC duties (MC gets to drink more)

 

  • (approx. 9pm) DJ introduces the first dance (song: ___)
  • DJ introduces the Father/Daughter dance (song: ___)
  • After the bride and her father have danced for a while, the groom & his mom and the rest of the wedding party is invited to dance.
  • No garter toss, bouquet toss, cake cutting.
