Mags, the little white bean-shaped thing in the lower right is the baby  k, so i see the head...is that it's brain inside the black part? can i see through it's skull?! wicked! why is it's skull so much bigger then it's brain? is that why newborns heads are soft? Mags, you are so awesome...lol, the thing you think is the brain? Thats the whole baby!! Rachel is only about 8 weeks pregnant. hahahaha.. The entire baby is in between the two little x's....

Ultrasound works on echos to produce an image, so its what the echos are bouncing off that produces the black or white in the picture. You can't tell gender at 8 weeks...normally not till about 18 or so It is pretty amazing to see a baby at this stage though, eh?

that is cool! usually when i've seen an ultrasound picture the baby is much bigger - like towards the end i think...like when people do the 3d stuff. i've never seen a little wee baby - it's cute!
