| This isn' me, but i had a friend on alesse, she switched and a month later not even she was preggers. Then talking to a friend who is a pharmacist, she said yea the generic can cause pregnancy. But she said the name and i forget. When my first friend was telling me about the generic brand i wondered if mine had one as i have no benifits at this job, but i don't think i will switch i'll stick to my 23 bucks a month!!

| I really think that everyone should know this information.. your pharmacist should be telling you... But anytime you switch birth control pills, it takes a month for your body to adjust to the change, also if you miss one day, or anything your exposing yourself to possible pregnancy, and adverse symptoms... Chances are if you are having adverse reactions, the dossage your taking is too high... You should talk to your doctor.... but again there is no difference in generic and brand name.... unless you have an allergy to one of the fillers.... 85% of prescriptions are generic brands... if it caused that much of a difference, it wouldnt be on the market.... Please talk to a health care professional before making these assumptions....

| I was switched about 2 months ago from Alesse to the no name brand (Avianne) and have had nothing but problems. I have also heard from others that they had the same side effects; bloating, moody, very low sex drive. I would not recommend anyone to switch to the no-name brand. I have looked at the ingredients for both and they are different. Just letting you know my struggles with this and cannot wait to go back to using my regular Alesse. Thank you.
