Toby has turned into a great nurser, except for the past few days where he's been a little demon child.
Or rather, WAY too happy!
He'll start nursing, then look up at me and try and catch my eye. If I look down at him he laughs and laughs and then goes a bit batty. Wiggling and grabbing my nipple and letting go over and over. He thinks it's HILARIOUS.
I'll admit his face is super cute when he's laughing but he's hurting me!
I've given him a boob time-out and/or just set him down and then he'll cry and want to nurse to comfort himself. I'm pretty sure he's actually hungry but just wants to fool around and laugh.
Any suggestions?

Oops, I guess I should have said that he basically won't nurse. He just keeps trying to get me to look at him. Like he's flirting. I think the time-outs are working. He was more intent on his 'job' tonight.

Glad to hear that he is doing better tonight... i thought that your story was soo cute, but i can see how it would get old fast... esp when lo will not eat.

LOL Yeah the time-outs are a good idea ... he'll learn that the boob is for eating, not playing. Stick with it ... he'll catch on!  Glad it's starting to go better!
