Did you see this recall???

http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml08/08253.html

I was just looking for the Alyson pattern, and came across this.

Thanks darling! Yes I saw that on thebabywearer.com as well as the beco site... all the Beco carriers purchased after May 2008 have the new super-duty clips!

Good call! Oli hated the pouch style too -- hmmm I should have clued into him hating it because of the relfux before, but didn't. Just thought he hated being squished. I also have the baby bjorn and hate it -- all the weight is left on your shoulders and it killed my back.

I was contemplating ergo for when we have the next one (because of the extra back support belt), but the beco looks good too. Maybe I'll wait to see what you think of it.

I will definitely let you know! I was also going to get the ERGO but this one has way cuter prints and the reviews are the same as far as comfortable/weight distribution go... also the Beco is better for newborns and easier to back-carry apparently so I will totally let you know how Lucas likes it once I get the hang of the thing! I can't believe it comes with a DVD. I hope I don't have to have an engineering degree to operate it!

hahaha damn... I thought the hot sling was hard to handle, but that's really good to know that it's better for newborns. That's one of the reasons I was holding back and contemplating the Buddha baby sling instead (basically the same as the moby)... But then I wanted a sling/carrier that you could use when your lo is older and the Buddha won't cut it for me with support. Chasing after a hyper toddler and carrying a baby should lead to some interesting times.

I hope you like it then!!!

I tried on the beco when I went to purchase my carrier and loved it but they didn't have any in stock and I needed then as we were going on holidays.  I purchased a toddler Patapum and we love it.  It can carry up to 65 pounds and back carrying is really easy.  I hope you love your Beco as much as we love our Patapum  I also just made a ring sling which is good to 35 pounds and I think we are going to love that also
