We did France, Switzerland, Germany and Italy but started in Paris. We were only there for 2 days and really wish we would have stayed longer. 2 days wasnt nearly enough especially with the wicked jetlag we didnt take into account. What do you want to know? I will do my best to answer any questions.

Was ldeitz.....now lstashko

Dh and I went to Paris before we got married, it's where we got engaged. If you do end up going i reccommend booking your hotel on Priceline.com we got a room at the Hilton next to the Eiffel tower for $125 per night.

We went a few years ago - not for our honeymoon, but it was awesome. We were there for 10 days and STILL didn't see everything!

I used Tripadvisor extensively for advice on everything and to find our hotel - Hotel de L'Esperance. (http://hoteldelesperance.fr/index.htm?lang=en)

Was affordable, fantastic location - far enough from the hustle to be quiet, and close enough to walk everywhere. The street it is in is a pedestrian street with market, bakery and crepe stands! Rooms were tiny, but most are in Europe.
We found our flight on expedia - got a good deal with KLM.

Highly recommend an evening cruise on the Siene - no need to book in advance, just go down to the river in the evening - cost around $10 each I think.

We'd go back - but we want to go somewhere different - might try rome!

Can you all please advise what I should do while in Paris.  I'm going to be there soon.  Any input would be fabulous.

For sure, we'll go to the Louve, Eiffle Tower, and do some shopping.  We will have 7 days there.

I was just in Paris a month ago - it's soo beautiful!

As a PP said - do a tour of the Siene - it was an amazing way to see the city!

I would recommend you guys go to see the Effil tower in the evening.  We took some cheese, baguette, fruit, wine, and a blanket and sat on the lawn and enjoyed the view!  Guys walk around selling wine, but it's best to bring your own, cups and a corkscrew! It's quite an experience.

My friend and I stayed in a hotel called Hotel de Molay - it was AWESOME!  She is teaching in Belgium and ends up in Paris frequently...she said it was the best hotel she stayed at.  Small, but very Parisien and quaint!

There are cafes everywhere - make sure to have a crepe, pain au chocolat, and cafe creme! yum!

You'll have so much fun, it's so beautiful!

I will marry my sweetie on August 1, 2009

I just got back from Paris, France on Monday.  My hubby and I had a great time.  I booked my hotel online bidding system priceline.com - We stayed at the Hilton at I got it for $125 US/night.  Which is a great deal for a 4 star 5 min walk from the tower.

Paris at night is stunning.

Just watch out for the bums.  They try to get you to give them euros saying that they found your gold ring.

And when you go to eat out, make sure you ask for tap water.  If not you get a small bottle of water that is over 4 euros!

The metro system there is great.  If you are staying within Paris for your visit you will only need a metro card for zone 1-2.

Let me know if you have any questions about Paris.

Pam
