So, we are in the process of determining if I have a short luteal phase defect. I have to start charting and since I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago, I need to wait until I get my next period and then start charting. I will also be doing some blood tests to determin progesterone levels. Anyone have a luteal phase defect at all, or any other medical reasons for problems conceiving. I was adpoted and my adopted mother had a backwards uterus, or tilted uterus or something so she was unable to have children of her own. My biological mother had a weak uterus and so my brothers (twins) were 3 months early, so she had to be stapled shut for her other pregnancies. Anyways, just wanted to hear what anyone else has to say.

Tabitha, sorry to hear you are going through this.
Is there a reason you don't want to start charting now (just to get in the habit of it) rather than waiting? You don't have to input it anywhere or anything, but it might be a good opportunity to get into the habit, figure out how your thermometer works and make sure you've got everything "ready" for when your period does show up.

And of course, don't hesitate to join the Charts Post thread (or just lurk there) if you want.

How many months do you need to chart before you know if you have a problem with your luteal phase?

*hugs*

Hi there...

Dh and I was trying for a long time to get pregnant.  Then surprised one day to get a positive on a hpt.   Unfortunately weeks later I had a miscarriage.  I lost the pregnancy quite early on, about 7weeks.   Although it was early, it was just as sad.     Anyhow, soon after that I went to seek fertility help.   The greatest thing I ever did!

After tests and tests, we found out I had polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).  Something to do with too many cysts on my ovaries, thus it prevents me from having regular cycles and ovulating normally and regularily.

So I was treated for PCOS, and few months after we conceived our first baby.  It was a boy!  He is now just little over 5months old.

I know right now it seems tough, when all you want is to have a baby.  I've been there, and there were many times where I said I was going to stop all the testings and treatments at the fertility clinic because I was just so fustrated and tired of the whole thing.    But I'm glad I stuck to it.   So my advice to you is, don't give up.  Until you get that proof that you can't conceive.

I think, don't quote me on this, but vitamin b6 is to help lengthen your LP. Also, drinking Raspberry leaf tea is great for strengthening ith uterus lining and such. I order mine off https://sweetdoveherbs.powweb.com/main.htm  the lady is also does many shows like the fall one of a kind show.
