| Ok, this may sound like a bit of a silly gross question but I really would love to know, When you puke does anyone find that it gets into your nose? This happens to me almost every time and it is just so so gross. I have to blow my nose to get it all out, and its usually so gross it makes me puke again! I would love to know if there is any way to prevent this, as puking would probably be bearable if this didn't happen. I am fortunate enough to not have morning sickness all the time, but when I do it is terrible! Thanks in advance!

I had this happen when I was on demerol. It made me so horribly sick!! But, there was nothing I could to really stop it going up my nose because it was forcing out so fast. I'm not sure what can actually be done to help this.. maybe get a nose plug? lol jk. Sorry The only way I stopped it was to endure the pain drug-free.. unfortunately, this isn't an option for you.The bright side.. at least it's not all the time? That would really stink. Hopefully someone else will know!!! Good luck.

Yep, that happens to me too... I think it likely has something to do with the force behind the wretching. More force = out the nose as well (normally when projectile vomiting).

I have that problem too - lucky for me, I haven't been sick on a full stomach yet, so it's mostly liquid...

Yes it happens sometimes to me. I found a way to minimize it when I couldn't make it to the toilet and ended up barfing in the sink. Gross I know but what can you do. Try holding your head up a bit, maybe it won't be forced into yout nose. But I agree, blowing your nose post barf is horrible. My stomach is tightening at the thought! I feel for you girl.

Wish I could help, but I'm sorry, I can't describe what position I'm in when I puke (which is rare). I haven't puked through my nose since I was a kid.
You should stick with some of the m/s remedies that help even if you're not consistently sick - like seabands or acupressure... it's always better to avoid puking than to try to adjust your postion.
Good luck & hope you feel better soon,
Melissa

| Hey Scraggles, I was sick and puking until I went on Diclectin. Although, I had ms ALL THE TIME so you may not need it I guess. I couldn't even drink water and with the B6/antihistamine I can eat anything. No fun being sick eh?! However, I welcome the symptoms most days
