I currently have the Chicco Keyfit system...yes from the states...yes illegal, but we choose it because it had a higher crash test speed and we do a heck of a lot of driving on highways.  Anyways.  Arianna will be out of the carseat and the new baby will be in it.  We would like a side by side stroller that will accomodate a carseat...

wishful thinking?

Any suggestions?  And if it is completely wishful thinking..any suggestions?

I am not sure if it will fit your carseat but we are looking at the peg perego 60/40 stroller for when we start TTC again

One side is a little larger to fit a carseat and the other side is big enough for a toddler. We looked at one in calgary, and it was up on a shelf about chest height, well needless to say, I could still lift it!!! It was sooo light! So I would look into that and see if it will fit your seat!!

ETA: Each side reclines seperately, and has 2 seperate hoods!

How come it's illegal if it's tested safer?

I have a BOB Revolution Dualie, which I LOVE! It will take a car seat but the adapter costs another $100. Since I do most of my walking from the house (i.e. stroll around the neighbourhood), I didn't get it. I put my 8 week baby in there with extra head protection and had no problems, but this isn't recommended.

It does fit in the back of my Corolla if I take all the wheels off.

It is mostly an "outdoors" type stroller. I take it hiking. I don't think I'd recommend it if you are a mall person because it is a bit overkill for that kind of use and the side-by-side is a tight squeeze in stores. It will fit through any door that is wheel-chair accessible.

I think they have to be tested and noted to meet Canadian standards (specifically) or they're not legal for use in Canada.  Even if the specs are BETTER than we have here, unless they have the CDN stamp of approval, you're not using it legally.

We did it, and it was everything I imagined it would be!

Exactly...even if we bought the exact same Graco Travel system as in the Canada in the states, it would be illegal because it doesn't have the sticker on it. You can save over $150 sometimes purchasing the exact same model..but that sticker...I guess it costs $150.00!! I live in a small town and already have seen 4 people with the exact same illegal carseat as me...its like we have a secret bad a$$ness between us! teehee

The pegpreggo looks AWESOME though!!!

I'm curious to know how this is affected by all the carseat laws? I know there's a big push on using a carseat safely, which of course is great. But, seeing how yours is technically safe, though technically Canada doesn't recognize it as such.. would someone who was stopped with a carseat like this, and they notice that 150$ stamp from canada.. would it result in a fine/penalty? I don't know how that would work. Just curious is all. Sorry for jumping in the thread
