Ok so the past few days Robbie's been passing corn (yuck) as we gave him some for thanksgiving dinner. No biggie. But this morning i changed his first diaper of the day and it had a bitty piece of poop and a big watery looking stain that was pink.? i dismissed it thinking it was just the poop cause it stayed in there for a bit.

Then as i was just feeding him breakfast he had a long wet "frump" and he looked like he was pushing. SO i took him to the change table and when i took it off it was a pink liquid. It had been absorbed into the diaper already but it looked like it had a jelly consistency a bit. Like mucous maybe.

I'm thinking blood-tinged mucous. I know a lot about it as i have crohns disease and when i got sick years ago thats what came out. Anyone else experiance this with their little one? So many factors to consider.
- 2 weeks since big cold and ear infection (healthy now)
- gave him yogurt yesterday and he pucked a bit last night (hes had it before tho but not recently)
- maybe something i fed him?

Any ideas? I'll call the doc when they open but i thought i'd check with you other moms.

Hi there,

A few months ago, my lo had a pink stain in his cloth diaper. He'd just slept 13 hours without a feeding.  My doctor said it was likely some kind of crystal (I can't remember but can check) due to dehydration (after sleeping so long).

Now, I had read that if it was darker red or jelly like than you should definitely see the doctor because it could be signs of other things.

Check with the doc as soon as they open....  I hope little Robbie is doing well!

When we brought Nolan home from the hospital and were breastfeeding he had this pink stain in his diaper and I was convinced it was blood.  Turns out he was severly dehydrated.  I would just check wth the doctor, just in case.  Nolan did not have any mucus with the pink stain.  Good Luck, i hope your lo is back to normal soon  I brought the diaper to the pedi with me(I know strange) but it helped the doctor determne it was not infact blood.
