| I was thinking of using Calla Lily's for my centerpiece..has anyone ever used them before or was thinking of using them...do you know if they are very frail will they last the night..will they be ok when I set them up the night before the wedding and have them still the same when I get back or will they be frail and 'saggy'...please let me know..ALSO are they pretty expensive?? We were thinking of doing this:

One thing you could do is grow them in your garden, then cut them, or have friends plant them and grow them, might save some money.

| I didn't use calla lilies for my centerpieces but I did use them for my bouquets and groom's and BM boutinierres. They lasted all day from 9 am and looked great at the end of the night and then again the next day at home. I then went on vacation so don't know exactly how long they lasted but they were great on the wedding day. They are pricier than most flowers though. I had 5 calla lilies for my bouquet, 3 for my MOH, and bouts for my DH and the BM and if I subtract the orchid bouts at $6 per they probably cost $150 for the callas.

| I used callas for my bouquets and centrepieces. My centrepieces were 14" tall cylindrical vases w/ pretty stones anchoring a full size calla in it. I then filled them with water and topped with a floating candle. They were beautiful, durable, and fairly inexpensive. I doubt you'll have any trouble using callas.

| I didn't use Calla's in my centerpieces but I did use them for my bouquets and bouts. I picked callas because they are long lasting and durable! We picked them up on a wednesday, they were packaged in boxes with water in the bottom, we had a 4 hour drive to our location. (we didn't get married until Saturday so they were kept refrigerated) but they all stayed perfect all day, even the next day. As long as they are in water they will last for quite a few days. They won't wilt. When they start to die they will get soggy before they wilt.... but again, that's almost a week later. I had bought a few sample flowers from the florist just so I could see how long they'd last.

Thanks everyone! I'm happy to hear that they are durable and last a long time. I have an appointment with my florist on friday and I think I will go with Calla Liliys now!!
